Clearwater Lofts at Keystone
Written by Tucker Zimmerman, Summit County Realtor with Slifer Smith & Frampton.
Clearwater Lofts is one of the newer condo buildings in Keystone, and that is a real part of the appeal. It is not new, but a lot of what trades in Keystone is dated, so a building with updated finishes, efficient floor plans, and heated underground parking stands out. It sits in Lakeside Village near Keystone Lake, and for a buyer who wants something clean and low-maintenance they can lock and leave, there are not many options like it here.
I want to be straight about the location, because the listings sometimes blur it. This is a lake-and-village setting, not a ski-in one. The Clearwater stop on the Keystone shuttle is right across the street, and it is about a five-minute hop or drive to the River Run or Mountain House base areas. If you need to click in at your door, this is not it. If you are fine riding the shuttle a few minutes in exchange for one of the newer buildings on the lake, the trade works in your favor.
The basics
| Homes | 1 to 4 bedrooms, some with lofts |
| Size | Roughly 700 to 1,800 square feet |
| Feel | One of the newer Keystone buildings, updated finishes |
| Setting | Lakeside Village, near Keystone Lake |
| Parking | Heated underground, assigned |
Inside, the finishes are updated and several homes have lofts that add room and light. The building carries what you want in a rental-ready condo without going overboard: an elevator, a common hot tub, on-site management, ski storage, a pool on part of the property, and the shuttle at the door. At the top of the building, Clearwater sits among the higher-end condos in Keystone, so if you are shopping the upper tier here, it is worth putting it next to Kindred Residences to see which one fits you better.
Questions I get
Is it ski-in ski-out?
No. It is a lake-and-village location. You take the shuttle from the stop across the street or drive about 5 minutes to River Run or Mountain House.
How old is the building?
It is one of the newer condo buildings in Keystone, which is part of the appeal, with updated finishes and floor plans, some with lofts. It is not brand new, but it is newer than most of what trades here.
Is it a good rental?
The updated finishes, amenities, and shuttle access make it rental-friendly, but confirm the current Keystone and county licensing and the HOA policy first.
