Frisco is the heart of Summit County! Everything in Frisco is walking distance from everything else including Lake Dillon, The Frisco Marina, and historic Main Street. Frisco's geography allows you to avoid long traffic jams on highway 9 with multiple routes to I-70 and to the various resorts throughout the county.
Frisco locals live a slower pace of life and take in Summit County one day at a time. You'll often run into your neighbors walking down Main Street, in one of our breweries, or perhaps on your way up the Mount Royal trail!
Frisco was founded in 1873 as a mining town. Though none are open to exploration, many of the old mine sites are still visible today along the Ten Mile Canyon recreation pathway and via hiking trails to the Summit of Mount Royal. The nearby mining site of Masontown was actually destroyed by an avalanche in 1912, but luckily all of the residents were partying in Frisco for New Years Eve.
Frisco's most desirable (and most expensive) real estate for most is in close proximity to Main Street. However, Frisco can be attractive for all price points. A few blocks to the south from Main Street you'll find homes, townhomes and condo's butted up against the base of Mount Royal & the Arapahoe National Forest. To the North of Main Street is primarily single family homes and townhomes which have easy access to the recreation path. And to the north-east of Main Street is Frisco's lakeside area. The Frisco lakeside area has great views and access to Lake Dillon with condominiums, townhomes, and single family homes.
