Beeler Place Townhomes at Copper Mountain
If you want more room than a condo gives you and you would rather be on the quieter side of the resort, the Beeler Place Townhomes are worth a close look. This is an early-1980s townhome community on the West Village side of Copper Mountain, a short walk from the West Village lifts. The floor plans are roomy, the layouts run from two to four bedrooms, and you get a level of space and privacy that a stacked condo simply cannot match. One thing to know up front: several separate buildings share a Beeler Place address, so this page is about the specific Beeler Place Townhomes community, not the whole street.

Setting Quieter, roomier, more privacy than a condo |
The quick take: Beeler Place is a space play on the calmer side of Copper. You trade the newest finishes and a full amenity building for real square footage, more bedrooms, a garage on many units, and a quieter walk to the lifts. For a buyer who wants a townhome to spread out in rather than a compact condo, that is a good trade. The catch is that finishes vary widely by unit, so the individual townhome matters more than the community name.
What this community is
The Beeler Place Townhomes date to the early 1980s, and they were built when land near the West Village base still allowed for larger, multi-level floor plans. That is why you see two, three, and four-bedroom layouts here with the kind of room counts that are hard to find in a condo. Many units have a private garage, some have multiple sun rooms and decks, and the community is small, which keeps the setting quiet compared with the busier core of the resort.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is a buyer shopping Copper on bedroom count and price alone, then being surprised at how little usable space a same-priced condo actually has. A townhome like this lives differently. You get separate levels, more storage, a garage for gear, and walls between you and the next owner. If your reason for buying at Copper is room to gather and spread out, this community should be on your list. If you want brand-new finishes and a front-desk lodge, it probably should not be, and I will tell you that plainly.
The honest read: this is an older, small community, and finishes run the full range from original to fully remodeled. Two townhomes here can be worlds apart on condition and updates even though they share the same address and floor plan. That is not a reason to avoid Beeler Place. It is the reason the specific unit you buy matters so much. The work is in the details, and the difference between a dated unit and an updated one is exactly where I earn my keep on a walkthrough.

Space, layout, and parking
|
Room to spread out Floor plans run roughly 1,500 to 3,200 square feet across two to four bedrooms, usually on multiple levels. That means separate living areas, more storage, and the kind of privacy a stacked condo cannot offer. |
Garages and gear Many units have a private one-car garage, and some have a two-car or attached garage. For a mountain property, a garage for skis, bikes, and cars is a real convenience. Parking varies by unit, so confirm it on the one you like. |
Location and the West Village setting
Beeler Place sits on the West Village side of Copper, which is the quieter end of the resort near the Union Creek base. You are a short walk from the West Village lifts, so getting on snow is easy, but you are away from the busiest foot traffic of Center Village. In the warmer months you can hike, bike, and get onto the trail network close to home. For a buyer who wants ski access without being on top of the base plaza, this side of the resort has a calmer, more residential feel, and that is a big part of the appeal here.
Amenities and what to expect
This is a townhome community, not a full-service lodge, so keep your expectations set accordingly. Several units share a common hot tub, and some of the community has on-site management, but you will not find an elevator, a front desk, or a big amenity deck like you would in a newer condo building. For a lot of buyers that is exactly the point. You are paying for space and quiet rather than for shared amenities you may rarely use.
A note on the current market
Inventory in a small community like this is thin, and what is available changes constantly, so I keep pricing and availability in the live market reports rather than putting numbers on a page that would be out of date within weeks. If you want to know what has actually sold in Beeler Place recently and what is on the market right now, reach out and I will pull current figures for you. The real question is usually not the community average. It is what a specific townhome, in its specific condition, is worth today.
Short-term rentals at Beeler Place
Copper Mountain is in unincorporated Summit County, so short-term rental licensing runs through the county rather than a town program. A license does not transfer to you on sale, so you apply as the new owner.
Before you count on rental income from a specific townhome, confirm current requirements on the Copper Mountain short-term rental rules page and read this community's HOA documents. The HOA position matters as much as the county rules, so check both before you rely on any projection.
Beeler Place Townhomes: pros and things to consider
|
Pros Roomy two to four-bedroom floor plans with real square footage. More privacy than a stacked condo. A private garage on many units. Quieter West Village setting with a short walk to the lifts. Several units share a common hot tub. |
Things to consider An early-1980s building, so condition and finishes vary widely by unit. A small community with thin inventory. Fewer building amenities than a newer lodge. The specific townhome and its updates drive the value more than the community name. |
Beeler Place Townhomes: common questions
Where are the Beeler Place Townhomes at Copper Mountain?
They sit on the West Village side of the resort, on Beeler Place, a short walk from the West Village base lifts. Many separate buildings share a Beeler Place mailing address, so make sure you are looking at this specific townhome community and not just the street.
How big are the townhomes?
Units run from two to four bedrooms with roomy floor plans, roughly 1,500 to 3,200 square feet. That is meaningfully more living space and privacy than a typical stacked Copper condo.
When were they built?
In the early 1980s. Finishes vary a lot from unit to unit because some have been fully remodeled and others are more original, so the specific townhome matters more than the community average.
Is there a garage?
Many units have a private one-car garage, and some have a two-car or attached garage. Garage type varies by unit, so verify the parking on any specific townhome.
Is there a hot tub or on-site management?
Several units share a common hot tub, and some of the community has on-site management. Amenities are limited compared with a full-service lodge, which is part of the tradeoff for more space and a quieter setting.
Can I short-term rent a Beeler Place townhome?
Copper is unincorporated Summit County, so licensing runs through the county and a license does not transfer to you on sale. Confirm current requirements on the Copper short-term rental rules page and check this community's HOA documents before you rely on rental income.
How does it compare to a Copper condo?
A townhome here gives you more square footage, more bedrooms, and more privacy than a stacked condo of similar price, in exchange for an older building, a smaller community, and fewer building amenities.
Thinking about Beeler Place?
I work the full Copper Mountain market and can walk you through how the townhomes here compare on space, condition, fees, and rental history before you make an offer. Because finishes vary so much unit to unit, a walkthrough with someone who knows the community is worth more here than almost anywhere else at Copper. If you already own a Beeler Place townhome and are weighing a sale, I can tell you honestly where your unit stands.
